(Guthrie Co.) Two people suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Guthrie County on Saturday.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says Shannon Pierson, 53, of Casey, was driving a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan southbound on Nice Avenue, immediately south of White Pole Road. Troy Miller, 41, of Menlo, was driving a 2010 Ford F250 northbound on Nice Avenue in the same location. There is a one-lane bridge that has a significant arch to it that crosses the railroad tracks below this location and one cannot see immediately on the opposite crest of the bridge. This caused both units to meet at the crest of the bridge arch, striking each other head-on.
There were no injuries to the occupants of Miller’s vehicle. Two occupants in Pierson’s vehicle reported minor injuries but were not transported to the hospital.
Pierson was cited for not providing proof of financial liability.
