(Pottawattamie Co.) One person died and a child was injured in single-vehicle accident in Pottawattamie County this (Tuesday) morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says 62-year-old Wanda Jean Trovato, of Missouri Valley, was driving a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer southbound on I-29 near the 61 mile marker and, according to witnesses, Trovato attempted to switch from the right lane to the left lane and lost control. The Trailblazer went off the road to the left and into the median where it rolled and came to rest on the driver’s side.
Trovato was transported to UNMC where she died from her injuries. A juvenile victim was transported to UNMC by Crescent Rescue.
