(Guthrie Co.) The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors agreed on Thursday, following a lengthy discussion, to approve the new supervisor district maps. The precinct maps that were changed are already imposed. The Supervisors did not agree with the new lines drawn by the LSA.
The news lines drawn for the Supervisor districts have changed quite a bit and would put three of the current supervisors in the same district. Guthrie County Attorney Brenna Bird explained that it would be hard to reject the maps because if they drew a new map it would still be based on the precincts that are already imposed.
In the end, the Supervisors agreed to approve the new district maps because they really didn’t have a choice.
Information and maps on the new precincts and supervisor districts will be posted on the Guthrie County website.
