(Council Bluffs) A Nebraska man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Pottawattamie County on January 31st.
The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office says Deputies were dispatched to an address on Badger Avenue for a check welfare. The reporting party advised a male subject showed up at his residence and advised had had been shot at. The subject was shaken up, but not injured. The male subject, identified as 27-year-old Simon Tongyik Chuar, of Omaha, was arrested for Conspire with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, Convey Contraband on/in a Correctional Facility, Possession of a Firearm or Offensive Weapon by Felon, Providing False Identification Information, and Unlawful Substance Tax Stamp Requirement. Total bond was set at $20,300.
In other activity, Matthew Robert Strunk, 41, was arrested on January 31st for OWI 3rd or Subsequent Offense.
Reginald Akeem Jackson, 31, of Council Bluffs, an inmate at the jail, was charged on January 31st with Criminal Mischief 4th after he broke a sprinkler head in a cell.
Jase Anthony Conn, 22, was taken into custody on February 1st from Douglas County Corrections on a valid warrant through the state of Iowa for Theft 2nd and Theft 5th Degree.
Bret Thomas, 32, was taken into custody on February 1st from Douglas County Corrections on a valid warrant through the State of Iowa for Theft 1st.
