(Red Oak) The Red Oak Police Department reports two arrests.
Zachary Clay Younts, 33, of Red Oak, was arrested Friday on a Page County warrant for Theft 5th Degree. Younts was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he was held on $300 bond.
Sally Mae Petersen, 50, of Red Oak, was arrested Friday for Interference with Official Acts and Trespass 1st Offense. Petersen was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and held on $300 bond.
Red Oak Police are also investigating a hit and run. The incident was reported at 4:41 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of N 2nd Street and E Reed Street. A 2014 Cadillac SRX, operated by Debra Lynn Blay, was traveling westbound on East Reed Street at the intersection of N 2nd Street when a smaller black or dark colored SUV, traveling northbound on 2nd Street, ran the stop sign and collided with the Cadillac. The SUV continued northbound on 2nd Street and turned east on Hammond Street. The Cadillac sustained approximately $2,500 damage. If anyone was in the area and witnessed this accident and can provide information in regards to the smaller black or dark colored SUV that left the scene, you should call the Red Oak Police Department at 712-623-6500.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested Destynie Saldana, of Red Oak, on Friday for Driving under Suspension. Saldana was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where she was held on $300 bond.
