(Atlantic) Cass County Emergency Management Director Mike Kennon says the storm system that blew through the county early Wednesday evening caused significant damage. Kennon thinks he will know more at daybreak.
Kennon did confirm there appears to be a path from southwest of Atlantic that spread northeast of the city, causing damage to homes, silos, and outbuildings. Kennon didn’t receive any reports of injuries other than some minor injuries resulting from vehicle accidents along Interstate 80 in northern Cass County.
Olive Street north of Atlantic from Chicago Road to Dallas Road was closed for the night.
