(Atlantic) The Cass County Auditors’ Office says a group not associated with the Auditor’s Office is sending out a mailing list asking area residents to register to vote with the Cass County Auditor’s Office as the mailing address.
“The problem with this mailing is that they apparently sent it to everyone whether they were registered already or not,” said Cass County Deputy Auditor Sheri Karns. “Apparently, it’s an old list. There have been several people that have been deceased for years receiving these mailings at an old address.”
Karns says folks are more than welcome to fill out this form if they feel there may be an issue with their voter registration. “They can mail it to the Auditor’s Office or ignore it and dispose of it.”
Karns says, “don’t assume that you are not registered to vote if you receive one of these mailings. I have yet to find anyone NOT registered.”
