(Hancock) A line of severe thunderstorms swept through eastern Pottawattamie County at around 8:30 p.m., leaving behind down trees, powerlines, and ping pong-size hail.
At 8:25 p.m., a trained weather spotter reported several one-to-two foot diameter trees down in Hancock.
At 8:25 p.m. Emergency Management reported trees and powerlines down five miles southwest of Hancock off of 380th Street.
At 8:28 p.m., a storm spotter reported tree branches down in Hancock along with an estimated wind gust of 60 miles per hour.
At 9:27 p.m. the public reported large trees down and flattened corn three miles east of Oakland.
The National Weather also issued severe thunderstorm warnings for Montgomery, eastern Mills, Page, Union, and Fremont Counties.
