(Ames) Authorities in Ames are investigating what they are calling a “suspicious death.”
Ames Police found a deceased female inside an apartment at 407 South 5th Street during a welfare check on Saturday evening. The name of the deceased female is being withheld pending notification of family.
The cause of death is unknown at this time, but the circumstances appear suspicious. Ames Police and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are canvassing the area and processing the crime scene.
