(Atlantic) Cass County Emergency Management Coordinator Mike Kennon said from 1:00 to 6:00 a.m. Friday, maintenance work will be conducted on the telephone and communications lines that come into the Communications Center.
“We will still get 911 calls but they will be routed through the State Patrol or Montgomery County, we will get 911 calls so if there’s an emergency we certainly want you to do that,” said Kennon. “In order to get the Communications Center/Dispatch Center, our regular admin line for 243-2204 will still ring in to our dispatch center.”
Kennon said the other calls that they get on the admin lines, such as to the Police Department in Atlantic, will not ring through.
“What I would encourage people to do is maybe if they were going to call the admin line for the Police Department they can dial 911, or they can dial 243-2204, but there will be a slight disruption in the overnight hours this evening,” said Kennon.
