(Walnut) Jason Book says, “Baseball has been in the Book side family blood lines.” The former Walnut Warrior is the head baseball coach at ADM. He spent two years coaching along side his dad Denny in 1999 and 2000 in Walnut. He also served a spring season on the staff at his Alma Mater Southwestern Community College before shifting to the high school ranks.
Book has spent the last decade with the Tigers and has had plenty of highlights along the way including an improbable run to the state baseball tournament last summer. His team had won just two games over the final month of the regular season, but strung together three straight postseason victories to earn a spot at Principal Park. It was the program’s 4th state appearance and the 3rd that coach Book had been a part of.
Book’s playing career included two years at SWCC followed by a stint at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX.
