(Des Moines) The state tournament field is set for all classes in girls basketball. The IGHSAU has issued the pairings for the state tourney which begins Monday, March 2nd. Click here to view the brackets.
Red Oak will be the first team from an area conference to play in Des Moines. They’ll match up with North Polk in a Class 3A quarterfinal on Monday at 6:45 p.m. DM Christian is in the Class 3A field as well. The Lions oppose Bishop Heelan at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
Glenwood and Lewis Central are each Class 4A state qualifiers and will play in back-to-back games on Tuesday afternoon. The Rams meet Gilbert at 3:15 followed by Lewis Central against Ballard at 5:00.
Logan-Magnolia plays in a Class 2A first round game at 10:00 on Wednesday morning against West Hancock.
St. Albert is the #8 seed in the Class 1A field and will take on Newell-Fonda. The Saintes game is lined up for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
