Clayton Akers went 4/5 with five RBI. Joel Sampson added three hits while Blake Holst had two. Joey Cunningham threw 3 2/3, allowing two hits and striking out six. Blake Holst struck out six batters in his 2 1/3 innings.
Atlantic 15, Denison-Schleswig 5
Grant Sturm was 4/5 with four RBI. Ethan Sturm, Wyatt Redinbaugh, and Bodie Johnson all drove in two runs. Ethan Sturm and Lane Nelson both posted two hits. Lane Nelson pitched the win and struck out six batters over four innings. Atlantic got things rolling early with a six run first inning.
Harlan 5, Kuemper Catholic 2
Connor Bruck went 3/4 with two runs driven in. Isaiah Ahrenholtz also drove in a pair of runs. Bruck threw five shutout innings and allowed only two hits. The senior walked none and struck out six. Trey Gross threw one scoreless inning of relief.
Madrid 16, ACGC 6
Newell Rogers and Bryce Littler each had two hits for the Chargers. Tegan Slaybaugh drove in two runs.
Nodaway Valley 7, Bedford 2
Colby Harris allowed three hits and two walks in 6 2/3 innings on the hill. Tyler Vandewater went 2/4 at the plate with two RBI. Caelen DeVault, Mathew Weber, Colby Harris, Nathan Russell, and Boston DeVault all had singles.
Treynor 7, Audubon 3
Audubon managed just three hits against a combination of Nate McCombs, Kristian Martens, and Wyatt James. Coming up with singles for the Wheelers were Marcus Olsen, Gavin Smith, and Jackson Jensen. Gavin Smith allowed just one hit in 3 1/3 relief innings on the mound. He struck out six batters. Treynor scored six of their runs over the first two innings and drew eight walks on the night.
