(Griswold) Griswold Republican Steve Baier earned the Republican nomination in the District 4 Primary for County Supervisor. Baier defeated Travis Erickson 236-89 to win the nomination, and most likely, the seat with no one running on the Democratic side.
Baier appreciates the support of the voters under unusual circumstance with the large amount of mail-in ballots due to COVID-19.
Mental health services and the new ethanol plant are two things Baier points to as accomplishments during his first four-year term.
Baier says, moving forward, the county will face some new challenges caused by the pandemic.
Baier says campaigning was much different than the first time around. Four years ago, Baier went door-to-door and talked to as many people as he could. Of course, this time, candidates couldn’t do that, so he had a lot of phone conversations, and a lot of contacts through other means.
