Volleyball
6-23 was the final win/loss mark for the Spartans. Their best showing in a tournament was at ACGC on September 21st when they won two out of four matches. Exira-EHK doubled their win total from the previous season.

Cross Country
The Spartans were Rolling Valley Conference champions. Camryn Paulsen led the way at the RVC meet with a 5th place finish while Kate Hansen was 8th, Ella Petersen 9th, McKenzie Yoshida 16th, Haley Harris 17th, Ellie Schultes 19th, and Claire Schlueter 23rd. Petersen had the best finish at the state qualifying meet when she came in 54th.
Winter Sports
Basketball
The Spartans were one win away from a fifth state tournament appearance in the last six years. The team went 21-2 and lost in a regional final to St. Albert. Their only regular season loss was to Class 2A state qualifier Logan-Magnolia in the first game of the season. The team went undefeated in the Rolling Valley Conference to add another league title to their list. All but two of their conference games were decided by more than ten points. Sophomore Macy Emgarten’s 70 3-pointers made were 4th most in Class 1A and she hit on a 44.9% rate. One of their most exciting wins came against Audubon when Tatum Grubbs hit Quinn Grubbs with a full court pass for a buzzer beating layup.

2019 Spring Sports
Track
Exira-EHK finished 7th in the Rolling Valley Conference Meet. One of the highlights of the meet was a win in the 4X800 meter relay with Makaela Riley, Macy Emgarten, Shelbi Wilson, and Camryn Paulsen. Macy Emgarten was among the top sprinters on the team while Alisa Partridge ran the team’s best time in the 100 meter hurdles. Shelbi Wilson and Claire Schlueter were the top mid-distance runners and Kate Hansen competed in their distance races.
Golf
Jacey Anthofer had a strong season as the #1 golfer on the team with a 46.60 average per nine holes. Mary Carroll, Lauren Hansen, Amy Hartvigsen, and Erin Irlmeier rounded out the varsity lineup. Anthofer shot a 93 at the conference tournament to place 3rd. The team finished 4th in the Rolling Valley Conference.
2019 Summer Sports
Softball
Exira-EHK got hot at the right time with five wins in their last seven games including an upset of Riverside in the regional tournament. Even though they had no seniors and only two juniors they still went 13-15. Macy Emgarten went over 300 career strikeouts. Her 186 K’s on the season were 10th most in Class 1A and 3rd among freshmen.
