Kylie Young led a balanced scoring effort with 13 points. Alaina Bunde had 8 points and 10 rebounds, EmmaKay McClain had 11 ponits, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals, and Saige O’Brien scored 11. ACGC improves to 5-3 on the season.
Logan-Magnolia 57, Audubon 40
The Wheelers slip to 7-2 on the year with the loss at Class 2A top 15 ranked Logan-Mganolia. The Panthers outscored the Wheelers by 7 in the first quarter and by 11 in the 3rd quarter. Rylie Hartl led Audubon with 15 points on 6/9 shooting. Aleah Hermansen and Jaci Christensen each scored 10. Hermansen snagged 10 boards.
Atlantic 58, Shenandoah 35
McKenzie Waters led the Trojans with 20 points. Hawkeye Ten scoring leader Haley Rasmussen had 17 points. Shenandoah’s Ava Wolf scored 14 points. Atlantic moves to 5-5 heading into a matchup with St. Albert on Saturday. The game can be heard on KS95.7.
CAM 65, Woodbine 36
The Cougars stay unblemished in conference play ahead of a big showdown with top 15 ranked Exira-EHK on Tuesday. Sammi Jahde posted 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals. Molly Venteicher made 7/12 field goals and finished with a season best 15 points. Zoey Baylor had 12 points, 6 assists, and 6 steals. 7-1 CAM broke the game open with a 22-9 second quarter advantage.
Exira-EHK 47, Ar-We-Va 43
The Spartans survived a scare on the road to keep pace with CAM atop the RVC standings. Macy Emgarten had 16 points. Quinn Grubbs, Mollie Rasmussen, and Shay Burmeister all pitched in 8 points.
Stanton 55, Griswold 39
The Tigers posted their highest offensive output of the year thanks in large part to 20 points from freshman McKenna Wiechman. Mikala Pelzer scored 9 in the loss. Stanton was led by 17 points from Jenna Stephens while Kami Tibben hit all 8 of her free-throws, collected 8 steals, and scored 14 points.
