AHSTW led comfortably for most of the night and a third quarter with 7 made three’s helped put things out of reach. Michael Mantell and Clayton Akers each posted 14 points with Joey Cunningham scoring 13 and Brayden Lund finishing with 10. The Vikings are 5-0 on the season. Audubon had 17 from Skyler Schultes.
Creston 56, Atlantic 49 (OT)
Creston was led by Brance Baker with 20 points and Cael Kralic 16. Atlantic got 16 points out of Grant Sturm while Tyler Moen went for 12, and Nile Petersen scored 11.
CAM 45, Ar-We-Va 39
CAM improves to 4-0 on the season. Ethan Arp led the way with 12 points and Nate Hensley had 11. CAM trailed much of the night, including by 5 at half, but outscored Ar-We-Va 19-3 in the 4th.
Harlan 68, Denison-Schleswig 60 (OT)
Connor Bruck sunk a deep three to force overtime and Harlan scored the first 7 points of the extra session. Bruck compiled 23 points with Johnathan Monson and Michael Heithoff each scoring 16. Goanar Billiew scored 22 for the Monarchs and Charlie Wiebers had 15 in the loss.
Nodaway Valley 77, Wayne 41
A 27 point 2nd quarter helped stretch the lead to 43-20 at half. Clay Hohertz had his 2nd big night of the week. The senior was 10/19 for 27 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. After totals of 32 and 27 this week Hohertz is averaging 21.5 points per game in the team’s 3-1 start. Toby Bower had 17 points and was 4/8 from 3-point range in the team’s 3rd straight win. Mason Menefee had 12 while Josh Baudler posted 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
Woodbine 44, Exira-EHK 39
Creighton Nelson scored 15 for Exira-EHK and Tyler Petersen had 12. No other player had more than 4 for the Spartans. Woodbine had three in double figures including 12 each for Dylan Hoefer and Cory Bantam. Brock Leaders had a pair of big three’s late in the game and scored 10 points.
