(Jewell, IA) — Preston Kent of AC/GC finished in 2nd place and Kylie Rochholz was the winner in the Jim Klein Invitational on Thursday hosted by South Hamilton.
Kent ran a time of 16:40.92 and was only just over 2 seconds away from first place Colton Alberts of Lynnville Sully at 16:38.64. Also for the Chargers, Jonny Kading finished 34th (18:54.50); Carver Johnston 46th (19:28.87); Bryce Benda 50th (19:39.81) and Cameron scored in 70th (21:02.33). AC/GC finished in 7th place in the team standings.
Bennett Allen had the best finish for Panorama in 41st (19:15.10). The Panthers finished 10th out of 11 teams. Lynnville Sully won with 64 points and South Hamilton was 2nd at 98.
Rochholz won with a time of 19:05.19 and was over 13 seconds ahead of 2nd place Madelyn Grothus of Madrid at 19:18.94. Also for the Panthers, Olivia Beaudet was 34th (22:22.11); Nella Rivas 48th (23:29.40); Corrie Knapp 57th (24:21.37) and Avery Allen scored in 69th (26:57.30). The Panthers were 7th out of 10 teams.
Vivian Crawford was in 9th place for AC/GC at 20:04.10. Camdyn Coffman was 29th (21:44.65); Cadence Petersen 35th (22:36.56); Lillie Lauzon 43rd (23:17.71) and Brooklyn Schafer 53rd (23:56.06). The Chargers were 5th overall.
North Polk won the girls meet with 44 points and West Marshall was 2nd with 67.
