(Des Moines) A statewide search for Iowa’s best breaded pork tenderloin has been narrowed down to five finalists.
According to the Iowa Pork Producers, an expert panel traveled across Iowa sampling tenderloins, with the competition described as tough and selecting the final five no easy task.
The finalists, listed in alphabetical order, are:
- Friend’s Hide-A-Way in Underwood
- Landmark Grill and Grind in Williamsburg
- Sasquatch Jacks in Waverly
- Tin Roost in North Liberty
- Wasted Grain Bar & Grill in Carroll
Only one of the five restaurants will be crowned Iowa’s Best Breaded Pork Tenderloin. The winner is expected to be announced later this month.
Until then, tenderloin fans are being encouraged to visit the five finalists and decide for themselves. Diners can also photograph their tenderloin, share it on social media, and tag the competition organizers.
The five finalists represent communities across the state, from southwest Iowa to eastern Iowa, giving pork tenderloin fans plenty of options to try as they await the final announcement.
