(Audubon, IA) — There are big goals for the Audubon football team this year. After getting a taste of the Dome last season and falling in the semifinals to Bishop Garrigan, the Wheelers will be on a mission to go even further in 2026. Junior QB Aiden Kjergaard and Junior RB Mason Kasperbauer are both back — that is about 2400 yards rushing that is returning. Senior Carter Obermeier will also see time at Running Back this season. Juniors Paxton Beane and Jorgen Nowatzke will be the guys on the outside. Up front on the offensive line, Birks says he has experience there too
Audubon has a new kicker this year and he is from Germany — Jacob Kerzhenets comes in with a big leg to replace Orm Voight who was from Europe and kicked last year. Birks cannot pronounce his name but he has a good leg
