(Massena) One person suffered serious injuries, and four others received minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Massena on Tuesday evening.
Cass County Sheriff John Westering says the crash occurred at around 6:06 p.m. on Highway 92 at the C-Store entrance. Sheriff Westering tells KSOM/KS95 News that Ryan Brown of Fontanelle, a passenger, was airlifted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Westering says Dustin McCurdy was traveling westbound and made an improper turn into the C-Store driveway and collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle driven by Dawn Brown of Fontanelle.
Sheriff Westering says Ryan Brown’s condition is unknown at this time.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office investigated the accident. The Cumberland, Massena, and Anita Fire Departments assisted at the scene, along with Cass County EMS and LifeFlight.
