(Ames, IA) — Cody Jackson has had an unusual road to playing his senior season this fall at Iowa St. He started in 2021 at Oklahoma but redshirted and then contracted Lemierre Syndrome which is a rare, severe complication of a bacterial throat infection and he was in the hospital for three months.
He recovered and transferred to Houston and played in four games in 2022 but his experience there was not a positive one. He transferred again to Tarleton St., had to sit out the 2023 season and finally got a chance in 2024 with 29 catches for 490 yards and 8 TD. Last season, he had 53 receptions for 799 yards and 6 TD. Jackson is now one of the more veteran receivers on the roster and he is ready to shine
Jackson will not only play wideout but he will utilized in the return game
