(Atlantic) Atlantic’s undefeated Hawkeye Ten Conference record is on the line when they host Shenandoah in a makeup game tonight. The Trojans take a 17-0 conference record into the game this evening.
Atlantic is coming off a 10-5 over Clarinda last night, and faces a Fillies squad they defeated last week by the score of 12-0. Atlantic Head Coach Terry Hinzmann expects a different type of game this time around.
Hinzmann says pitchers have seen every type of hitter at this point.
The Trojans are batting .292 on the season, led by Lila Wiederstein batting .473. London Kirchhoff is hitting .387, and Zoey Kirchhoff, who is coming off a 4-4 night at the plate on Tuesday, is batting .371.
Shenandoah is hitting .206, led by Lyndie Green, and Bella Trowbridge is batting .348 and .333, respectively. Kinzlee Potratz actually has the highest average on the team at .556, with only nine plate appearances.
