(Harlan) The Harlan City Council approved items related to the Amended and Restated Urban Revitalization Plan.
The first item approved was the engagement letter with Ahlers & Cooney, P.C.
The Council then approved a resolution setting a date for a public hearing on the matter of the adoption of a proposed amendment no. 1 to the amended and restated Urban Revitalization Plan. The purpose of the amendment is to add an exemption schedule for eligible improvements to property that will be assessed as “multi-residential” property on and after January 1, 2027, due to changes in state law that will reintroduce the “multi-residential” assessment classification.
The public hearing is set for October 6, 2026, at 5:15 p.m.in the Council Chambers at Harlan City Hall.
