(Harlan, IA) — It has been a difficult start to the season for Harlan football — three games and three losses. They are all good teams with Underwood, Glenwood, and Lewis Central. On offense Senior Brody Bendorf leads the team in rushing with 120 yards and he says the running game has made progress
In the passing game, Junior QB Kreed Boggess has 282 yards passing with 2 TD and 2 INT; Senior Landon Nihsen had 9 catches for 81 yards and a score. Senior Luke Ineson is another wideout who says its not easy to come up short in these non district games but they have really come together so they deal with it together
Bendorf also leads the team in tackles with 19.5; Junior Coy Obrecht has 16.5 tackles; Sophomore Christian Anderson has 10; Senior Sam Shields has 9 tackles for the Cyclones and he says after this week, its a whole new ballgame and their record will be 0 and 0
Harlan will have its Homecoming game this Friday against 1-2 Denison Schleswig.
