(Audubon, IA) — The Audubon baseball team has won two in a row — beating Tri Center on Monday 3-1 and then winning at Riverside on Tuesday 6-2. The Wheelers got great pitching from the Miller brothers on both nights. Against the Trojans, Dawson went the distance and allowed one unearned run on five hits, walked two and struck out six, throwing 91 pitches. Against the Bulldogs, Dalton Miller also went the distance, allowing 2 runs, 1 earned on just 2 hits, walked one and struck out 11, throwing 92 pitches. Head Coach Eric Borkowski says the Miller boys are competitive
Walter Vetter is one of two seniors for the Wheelers — in the first ten games, the first baseman did not get a hit but against AHSTW, his first hit of the season drove in a run and the last three games, he is 5 for 9. Borkowski says his confidence has grown
The schedule does not get any easier for Audubon — the next three games are against the three best teams in the Western Iowa Logan Magnolia, Treynor and Underwood
Audubon is now 4-10, 3-9 in the WIC.
