(Atlantic) This morning, the Cass County Board of Supervisors heard from Executive Director of Cass and Guthrie County Environmental Health, Jotham Arber. Arber provided a monthly report, highlighting a current priority project around soil analysis.
Arber also shared some details on their involvement with the Combat Cancer Initiative
When asked about Nitrate levels, Arber shared the current trends he is seeing.
Cass County Engineer Trent Wolken shared an update on bridge replacement 443 on Buck Creek Road. After receiving two construction bids, the supervisors motioned to approve a bid from Gus Construction for $298,494.12.
The board also approved wages and salaries for Fiscal Year 2026-2027, including the annual base salary of deputies appointed by elected officials and deputy sheriffs (exempt and non-exempt). Compensation was set for clerks and extra help appointed by the principal county officers, as well as an annual salary amount for the Jail Administrator position.
The Rural Transit System Joint Participation Agreement with SWIPCO/SWITA was also approved.
