(Des Moines) The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is encouraging paddlers to use its interactive paddling map, which provides access point locations, boat ramps, hazard information, and other details for waterways across the state.
John Lorenzen, Fisheries Biologist, noted that the East Nishnabotna river can be a great river to float and fish.
The interactive paddling map is located on the Iowa Department of Natural Resources website. Iowa rivers and creeks of paddle-able size are shown. The DNR reminds paddlers to know the weather and streamflows while planning your trip.
