(Red Oak) Red Oak City Administrator Lisa Kotter says a leak is delaying the opening of Red Oak’s outdoor swimming pool. The pool was originally scheduled to open May 29, but Kotter says the opening has been postponed while crews work to locate the source of the leak.
Kotter is unsure when the situation will be resolved. She is hopeful a pool repair team will arrive next week to help resolve the problem.
Construction crews wrapped up work on the $2.5 million pool renovation project back in July of 2020. Because of COVID and the time of completion, City officials waited until the summer of 2021 to reopen. The pool features a zero-depth entry, with toys and a fountain, a large slide, and other amenities.
