(Iowa City, IA) — The Iowa Hawkeye football team has a wealth of talent at running back — the only problem is that there is just one football. Iowa returns their leading rusher Kamari Moulton with 878 yards and averaging 5.2 yards per carry. LJ Phillips is an All American transfer from South Dakota who had 1,921 yards at the FCS level. Xavier Williams is a third year player. Nathan McNeil and Braeden Jackson are 2nd year guys who can contribute as well. Head Coach Kirk Ferentz is confident about the position
On the offensive line, 4th year Kade Pieper will be the anchor but Ferentz says he is not sure what position he will play yet. His goal is to get the five best guys on the field
Iowa opens their season on Saturday September 5 at home against Northern Illinois.
