Karen Cass, 86, of Fontanelle, Iowa, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Greenfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home in Fontanelle with burial following in the Fontanelle Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Lamb Funeral Home following the burial. Pastor Melinda Stonebraker will officiate the service. Open Visitation will be held at the Lamb Funeral Home in Fontanelle on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the Lamb Funeral Home in Fontanelle from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Memorials: To the Karen Cass Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.
She is survived by her husband, Dean Cass of Fontanelle; daughter, Cynthia Burg (Steven) of Murray, Nebraska; two sons, Mikeal Cass (Tamela) of Atlantic and Patrick Cass (Andrea) of Fontanelle; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, David Frank (Linda) of Yuma, Colorado and Dennis Frank (Debbie) of Fontanelle; sister, Kayleen Whittlesey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; sister-in-law, Betty Weinheimer of Fontanelle; other relatives and friends.
