(Pottawattamie Co.) The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, will officially open to the public on Friday in Pottawattamie County.
The wall, along with a mobile education center, will be open 24 hours a day from May 22 to May 25 at Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs.
The Wall That Heals Committee updated the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday regarding the events that begin on Friday.
The committee said it is appreciative of all the support from Pottawattamie County citizens.
Volunteers are still needed for tear-down on Monday at 2:00 p.m., and there are also some overnight and early morning time slots still available throughout the entire weekend. Many of the open shifts are from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
