(Des Moines) The Des Moines National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a weather briefing highlighting the potential for severe weather across western and central Iowa from today through Monday.
Severe weather is possible, with conditions expected to develop and intensify over the coming days.
Forecasters say Isolated storms are forecast to develop in central Iowa after 3:00 p.m. today. These storms are expected to grow more widespread as a line of storms moves into Iowa from the west. The line of storms is expected to continue overnight into Sunday morning.
