(Glenwood) ADM swept the eight-team girl’s and boy’s fields at Thursday’s Class 3A State Qualifying Track and Field Meet in Glenwood, while Glenwood and Atlantic placed second and third, respectively, in both the girls’ and boys’ team standings.

The Tigers opened with a victory in the 800 Sprint Medley Relay as Peyton Standley, Claire Priestley, Isabelle Book, and Brecken Morse won in 1:49.01. ADM also captured the Shuttle Hurdle Relay title with Nelson, Bjork, Smyth, and Elise Coghlan finishing in 1:04.50.
ADM continued its relay success with wins in the 4×200, 4×100, and 4×400 relays. Standley, Priestley, Morse, and Book posted a winning time of 1:44.14 in the 4×200. Nelson, Book, Morse, and Standley won the 4×100 in 48.48, while Novelli, Coghlan, Morse, and Morse claimed the 4×400 title in 4:03.75.
Coghlan swept the hurdle races, winning the 100 hurdles in 14.58 and the 400 hurdles in 1:04.07. Haley Nelson added a second-place finish in the 100 hurdles for ADM in 15.27, while Clara Uthe placed second in the 400 hurdles in 1:08.63. Isabelle Book added another Tiger victory by winning the 200 meters in 25.97.
In the field events, Lauren Hagedorn earned titles in both throws for ADM. She won the shot put with a throw of 38-05.50 and the discus with a mark of 132-00. The Tigers also took second in the 4×800 relay as Vivian Novelli, Elliott Von Roden, Allie Eggleston, and Clara Uthe finished in 9:48.94.
Glenwood collected two first-place finishes and five runner-up performances. Grace Berglund won the 3000 meters in 11:05.40 and later helped Haylee Hughes, Jordyn Schulte, and Caitlin Hebel capture the 4×800 relay in 9:46.76.
The Rams also placed second in the 800 Sprint Medley Relay with Kelsey Hughes, Megan Hughes, Olivia Wright, and Hebel finishing in 1:49.60. Hebel added a runner-up finish in the 400 meters in 59.25, while Hughes was second in the 800 in 2:24.86. Berglund placed second in the 1500 meters in 4:58.00, and Maggie Smith finished runner-up in the discus with a throw of 109-11.
Atlantic’s Lila Wiederstein turned in a standout meet with victories in the 100 meters and long jump. Wiederstein won the 100 in 12.74 and took the long jump title with a leap of 16-06.75. Atlantic also earned second-place finishes in both the 4×200 and 4×100 relays. Wiederstein, Hass, Middents, and Van Aernam ran 1:45.37 in the 4×200, while Wiederstein, Reed, Middents, and Van Aernam finished the 4×100 in 49.24.
Des Moines Christian captured three event titles, led by distance standout Elyse Erzen. The Lions won the Distance Medley Relay with Vogel, Mull, Kentfield, and Erzen posting a time of 4:15.21. Erzen also won the 800 meters in 2:22.90 and the 1500 meters in 4:49.87. Des Moines Christian added second-place finishes in the 3000 meters with Erzen, the Shuttle Hurdle Relay with Patrick, Lambert, Van Mersenberger, and Saak, and the 4×400 relay with Van Wyk, Mull, Kentfield, and Deterding.
Creston earned runner-up finishes from Cora Smith in the 200 meters in 26.19 and Jaycee Hanson in the shot put with a throw of 37-03.75.
Denison-Schleswig’s Sara Munn won the high jump by clearing 5-02.00 and also placed second in the long jump at 16-00.25. Teammate Kyia Clark finished runner-up in the 100 meters in 12.85.
Harlan earned a second-place finish in the Distance Medley Relay as Sonderman, Sonderman, Wegner, and Heslink crossed in 4:16.84.
Carroll’s Willow Feld placed second in the high jump with a clearance of 5-00.00.

(Glenwood) ADM automatically qualified in 14 events with victories across the sprints, relays, middle-distance races, and field events in the boy’s competition.
The Tigers opened with a win in the 800 Sprint Medley Relay as Brayden Davison, Owen Rychnovsky, Parker Hook, and Hudson Shull crossed in 1:33.93. Harlan finished second with Jackson Ahrenholtz, Hagen Sorensen, Cade Nelson, and Foxx Argotsinger posting a time of 1:35.83.
ADM also captured the 4×800 relay title behind Jack Leistikow, Hall, Catron, and Ty Landphair in 8:20.50. The Tigers added wins in the 4×200 relay and several individual sprint events. Davison, Rychnovsky, Shull, and Pitzen won the 4×200 in 1:29.22, while Parker Hook claimed the 400 meters in 50.28. Zane Johnson swept the short sprints for ADM, winning the 100 meters in 11.54 and the 200 meters in 22.40.
In the distance races, Ty Landphair won the 800 meters in 1:59.34, while teammate Jack Leistikow finished second in 2:00.76. Reid Kluesner added another title for ADM by winning the high jump at 6-04.00. The Tigers also earned runner-up finishes in the Shuttle Hurdle Relay, Distance Medley Relay, 4×100 relay, and discus.
Glenwood earned victories in the Distance Medley Relay, 4×100 relay, and two field events. Razor, Stephens, Stanislav, and Keller won the distance medley in 3:44.62, while Razor, Ludwig, Pratt, and Crouch captured the 4×100 relay in 42.63.
Dylan Powles won the 400 hurdles for Glenwood in 56.51. In the field events, Lincoln Skarnulis claimed the shot put title with a throw of 53-11.75 and Todd Schmitz won the discus at 153-10.
The Rams also posted several runner-up finishes. Tristan Ludwig placed second in the 100 meters in 11.59, while Pratt, Powles, Stephens, and Crouch finished second in the 4×200 relay in 1:29.79. Evan Stanislav and Chase Razor both cleared 6-04.00 in the high jump, with Stanislav finishing second and Razor third. Shain Pratt added a second-place finish in the long jump at 21-02.00.
Atlantic captured the Shuttle Hurdle Relay title as Grant Petty, Jaxon Hepler, Zander Killion, and Shelton Mualia ran 59.99 (A New School Record). Ethan McNeal won the long jump with a leap of 22-04.00 and also placed second in the 200 meters in 22.54. Killion added a runner-up finish in the 110 hurdles in 15.26, while Atlantic finished second in the 4×400 relay with McNeal, DeVore, Hagen, and Betts.
Des Moines Christian swept the top two spots in both distance races. Josiah Sisler won the 3200 meters in 9:56.24 ahead of teammate Luke McCormick in 9:59.86. Sisler also captured the 1600-meter title in 4:34.23, with McCormick again finishing second in 4:35.56.
Carroll’s Lual Tharjiath won the 110 hurdles in 14.95, while teammate Carson Tedrow finished second in the 400 hurdles in 56.62.
Harlan earned runner-up finishes in the 800 Sprint Medley Relay and the 400 meters, where Foxx Argotsinger crossed in 50.86.
Creston’s Thomas Mikkelsen placed second in the shot put with a throw of 53-10.00.
