(Lewis, IA) — There was a one vehicle accident just north of Lewis, IA on Saturday. The vehicle rolled multiple times and came to a rest at the corner of 582nd Street and White Pole Road. There were two occupants in the vehicle and one person was reported trapped after the accident which happened just after 5:15 pm.
Multiple emergency vehicles have responded to the scene and the vehicle was reported on its roof. The emergency crews were able to extricate the trapped individual shortly on arrival.
A life light helicopter has been requested and is landing at the Lewis School.
Law enforcement has blocked off the highway and re re routing traffic.
