(Carroll, IA) — Kuemper Catholic hosted the Larry Clark Boys Golf Invitational on Saturday and two strokes separated the top four teams with Spencer winning on a tiebreaker over Humboldt — each with a 314. KC won the tiebreaker over Webster City for 3rd with a 316. Clarinda rounded out the top five with a 332.
Cade Birdsell of Humboldt was the individual winner with a (-2) 68 — a round that included three birdies and only one bogey with the rest pars. Dawson Bertran of Webster City finished in 2nd place with a (+1) 71. Braxton Vonnahme of Kuemper Catholic was third with a (+3) 73. Easton Beehler of Spencer 4th with a 74 and Keith Thompson of Hamburg finished 5th with a 74.
Jack Lenz of KC was 6th with a 76 — other scores for the Knights included Brenten Loeffelholz in 23rd with an 83; Garrett Babe in 25th with an 84; Theodore Perkins 39th with an 87; and Collin Venteicher 42nd with an 87.
Jac Fine of Clarinda finished 8th with a 77; Cort Neal of the Cardinals was 12th with a 78.
Low round for Carroll was Weston Bogue in 16th with an 81.
Panorama’s best score went to Mason Cates in 15th with an 81.
Harlan was led by Collin Burchett in 26th with an 84; Owen Neve 28th with an 85; Cole Kuesters 29th with an 85; Cade Neve 49th with an 88; Caleb Ernst 61st with a 93 and Drake Nippert shot a 99.
