(Ames, IA) — Iowa St. Men’s Basketball just got richer — four star recruit Donovan Davis from Wisconsin has announced his intention to play for the Cyclones.
Davis is a 6’7″ forward who chose ISU over Iowa, Nebraska, Marquette and Wisconsin and according to a 247 Sports score, gets a .9868 rating out of 100 making him the 38th ranked player in the recruiting Class of 2027. Rivals ranks him as the 31st best recruit in the country. Last year as a junior at Freedom High School just outside of Green Bay, Davis averaged 21.7 points, 12.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.3 steals a game. He was the North Eastern Player of the Year and also made the league’s all defensive team.
Davis joins another four star recruit Josiah Harrington coming to Iowa St. Harrington is a 6’4″ small forward from Eldridge North Scott who committed back in 2024 to the Cyclones. Between the two players, as of this writing, TJ Otzelberger has the number one 2027 recruiting class in the country according to several rating services.
