(Denison, IA) — Atlantic Boys Golf continued their march towards the playoffs with a win in the Monarch Invitational at Majestic Hills Golf Course on Monday. The Trojans got their 6th in 7 events with a team score of 312, 11 strokes ahead of Kuemper Catholic with a 323.
St. Albert was 3rd (334); Earlham 4th (335); Clarinda 5th (338); Storm Lake 6th (339); Carroll 7th (345); Estherville Lincoln Central 8th (345); Shenandoah 9th (346); Glenwood 10th (346); Harlan 11th (362); Denison Schleswig 12th (369); and Red Oak 13th (371).
Hudson McLaren stays on top of the leaderboard with his third win in a row shooting a 77. The Senior tied his teammate Sam Brosam with a 77 but won medalist honors on a tiebreaker. Gage Gross gave the Trojans the top three spots with a 78. Blaine Vanderheiden of Earlham was 4th with a 79 and Atlantic’s Brady Wood rounded out the top 5 with an 80.
Also for Atlantic, Braxton Hass shot a 90 and Jack Muller a 95.
Brenten Loeffelholz of KC was 6th with an 80; Will Harris of Earlham 7th with an 80; Braxton Vonnahme of KC 8th with an 80; Jayden Butler of Storm Lake finished 9th with an 80 and Jaxon Erickson of Glenwood rounded out the top 10 with an 81.
Jack Kline had the low round for Clarinda with an 82.
Ben Thompson had the low round for St. Albert with an 82.
Wyatt Ragaller of Carroll shot an 83.
JJ Martin of Shenandoah had an 85.
Low round for Harlan was Cole Koesters with an 88; Colin Burchett a 90; Brodie Hamilton 90; Jacob Spangenberg 91; Cade Neve 93; Caleb Ernst 102; and Drake Nippert 106.
