(Clinton County) One person died in a fiery crash in Clinton County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at 2771 190th Street in DeWitt. Authorities did not release the name of the driver who died in the accident.
According to the report, the driver of a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica traveling westbound on 190th Street just west of 280th Avenue is believed to have had a medical event, causing the vehicle to enter the south ditch, enter a field, before colliding with a house. The vehicle and the residence became fully engulfed in flames.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny.
The accident remains under investigation.
