Benton County Crash Claims One Life

(Benton County, Iowa) One person died in a two-vehicle accident in Benton County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Monday at around 5:06 p.m. in the 7900 Block of Highway 151. Authorities say 33-year-old George Daniel Martin of Norway, Iowa, died in the crash.

According to the report, a northbound 2007 Chevy Silverado pickup driven by Martin crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound 2013 Mack GU713 dump truck.

The Murdock Funeral Home transported George Martin to the State Medical Examiner’s office.
