(Atlantic) The Atlantic and Zoning Commission on Tuesday evening will review, discuss, and vote on the Commercial Building Site Plan for the Atlantic Animal Health Center, located at 1502 SW 7th Street.
According to the meeting packet, OPN Architects has submitted a site plan for a commercial building for review by the Planning & Zoning Commission. The proposed construction site is located on SW 7th Street, immediately east of West 17th Street.
The site plan and proposed development include the following facts:
- The property is zoned “I-1” (Light Industrial District).
- Subsection 13.20(1) of the I-1 District under “Permitted Uses” in the Zoning Ordinance allows any nonresidential building or use that is not hazardous, obnoxious, offensive, or unsightly due to factors such as odor, sound, vibrations, radioactivity, electrical interference, glare, waste, smoke, or other air pollutants.
- The proposed use of the property is a veterinary clinic, which is permitted in the I-1 district.
- The proposed building will be T-shaped and total 5,515 square feet.
- All 17 site plan requirements are fully satisfied by the submitted site plan and building permit.
The Planning and Zoning Commission is tasked with reviewing the site plan for errors and omissions and asking specific questions regarding the development or the plan itself.
