(Atlantic) Families gathered at Atlantic City Park on Saturday morning for the Annual Atlantic Rising Easter Egg Hunt, enjoying a festive event filled with eggs, candy, and prizes.
Kelsey Beschorner, Executive Chamber Director for Atlantic and Secretary/Treasurer of Atlantic Rising, told KSOM/KS95 News that donation request letters are sent to local businesses and community members each year. With the support they receive, Atlantic Rising is able to purchase eggs and prizes. She added that clients from Trivium helped prepare for the event by stuffing approximately 18,000 eggs with candy and prizes.
Among the giveaways were bikes, balls, bats, toys, and remote-control cars. Beschorner also expressed appreciation for the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and the roughly 20 volunteers who contributed their time to make the event a success.
Event Official’s divided the “Hunt” into four age groups, 0–2, 3–4, 5–7, and 8–10 years old, giving everyone a chance to join in on the fun. The Easter Bunny showed up for the event, Hy Vee provided the hot dogs, and Atlantic Bottling handed out free Coca-Cola beverages.
