Geoffrey Daniel Falkena, 50, of Sundance, Wyoming
On January 4, 1975, Geoffrey Daniel Falkena entered the world with a spark that would light up every room he walked into. As the first grandchild on the Falkena side, he was doted on and spoiled by family who adored him, though it didn’t stop him from keeping everyone on their toes. Geoff was a rowdy kid, full of mischief and energy, the kind of boy who lived for adventure and found excitement wherever he went. He and his brother Bart were quite the pair. Since they were young, they shared a love of cars, the outdoors, and eventually the joys of raising two daughters. Geoff and Bart embarked on several adventures together and had the stories to back it up. Up until the end Bart and Geoff referred to each other as “bro.” Their bond was extremely special.
Geoff didn’t shy away from hard work. From early on, he found himself drawn to construction and safety, dedicating his days to various jobs that would eventually lead to him owning his own businesses. His work ethic was unmatched, but if you asked him, none of his professional achievements compared to his greatest pride—his three children, Cain, Chloe, and Charley. They were the lights of his life, the reason behind his biggest smiles and loudest laughs. His love extended to his nieces and cousins, who always looked up to “Uncle Geoff” as the fun-loving, hardworking, and wise figure in their lives.
Beyond the job site, Geoff was an adventurer at heart. He took every chance he could to explore the country, often with his kids by his side. Whether it was a spontaneous road trip, a planned vacation, or a wild idea that turned into a cherished memory, Geoff’s adventures were legendary. He embraced mother nature and could always be found on an oceanfront or at the top of the mountain. He lived for the open road, the laughter of his children, and the stories they created together along the way.
Geoffrey Daniel Falkena wasn’t just a man who worked hard—he was a man who loved deeply, lived boldly, and left a legacy of memories and lessons that his children and loved ones will carry forever.
Geoff died on January 25, 2025, in North Carolina surrounded by family at the age of 50 years after battling a brain infection. He was preceded in death by his beautiful daughter Charley, cousins Melissa Mikkelsen and Brad Chamberlain, his uncles David and Kenny Falkena, Tom and Tony Weis and his grandfather Robert Weis Sr.
