(Atlantic) Lewis Central captured the team title at the Atlantic Girls Wrestling Invitational on Saturday, claiming four individual titles, one runner-up finish, with 196 points. The Titans were led by champions Avaeh Smith (120 lbs), Emerson Gregg (125 lbs), Kassidy Fiala (135 lbs), and Kalen Jo Westerfield (155 lbs). Madison Wright finished as the runner-up at 195 lbs.
Des Moines Public Schools secured second place with 158 points, thanks to individual titles won by Jada Hansen (130 lbs) and Diana Gale (145 lbs).
SWAT placed third with 140 points, highlighted by champions Stella Beattie (170 lbs) and Ellen Gerlock (190 lbs). Jazz Christensen (100 lbs) earned a second-place finish, while Nadia South (110 lbs) took third. Additional medalists included Destiny Fry (115 lbs) and Lilly Barber (155 lbs) in fifth place, and Lilliana Tafoya (135 lbs) in sixth.
Audubon’s Macy Rasmussen (115 lbs) captured an individual title, improving her season record to 33-0 with a pin over December Paw of Des Moines Public Schools in 4:31. Elena Harbour (140 lbs) finished third, and Jordan Mulford (105 lbs) placed fourth. Audubon tied for ninth with Red Oak, both scoring 71 points.
For Red Oak, Paige Baier finished as the runner-up at 145 lbs. Other medalists included Amber Rea (135 lbs) in fifth, and Elaina Kuipers (115 lbs), Jadeyn McAlpin (125 lbs), and Lilly Ford (140 lbs), each placing sixth.
Atlantic finished 11th with 70 points, led by Haley Armstrong (235 lbs), who placed second and improved her season record to 33-2. Leiah Thomas (155 lbs) earned third place, and Cadence Kinzie (120 lbs) finished fourth.
Harlan finished in 19th place, with Ellexis Stephens (125 lbs) earning a second-place finish.
