(Area) — The Iowa Football Coaches Association have named their High School Football All State teams for the 2024 season. Carter Kunze of the state champion Tri Center Trojans was named Captain of the Class A team. Other captains included Landon Waldschmitt of Remsen St. Mary’s at 8 man; Class 1A captain is Judd Jirovsky of Grundy Center; Class 2A Captain is Dylan Stecker of Spirit Lake; Class 3A is Coen Matson of Humboldt; Class 4A is Nathan Feldman of North Polk and the Class 5A Captain is Joey VanWetzinga- Pleasant Valley.
Audubon’s Aaron Olsen is 1st team All State in 8 man; Colton Hansen of Audubon is 2nd team all state at OL and Adam Obrecht is 2nd team all state at DB. Besides Kunze, Zach Nelson is first team all state at WR; Athan Chessmore is 1st team all state at OL; Brenton Kramer is 1st team all state at Utility; AJ Harder is 2nd team all state at QB; Cael Witt is 2nd team all state at WR; Landon Ward is 2nd team all state at DL.
Jaxon Gordon of Riverside is 1st team all state at RB in Class A. AC/GC had 4 players honored — 1st team Carter Richter at OL, Mike Fuller at DL; 2nd team Jack Sheeder at OL and Xander Hawood at DL.
Harlan had four players honored 2nd team all state — Josef Reisz at WR/TE, Hayden Soma at OL, Bryce Van Baale at LB and Noah Schwery at punter.
