Kristofer “Kris” Kory Bramman, the son of Peter Walter and Shona Sue (Meyer) Bramman, was born May 1, 1979, in Council Bluffs, IA. He passed away at his home in Oakland, IA, on August 17, 2024, at the age of 45 years, 3 months, and 16 days.
Kris attended school in Avoca, graduating from AHST High School with the class of 1997. He then attended college at Southwestern Community College in Creston, IA, where he received his associates degree. Kris worked at Regional Water for a short time after graduation before accepting a job with the City of Oakland.
On September 20, 2003, he was united in marriage to Jamie Lee Davis. Two children were born to this union, Davis and Danielle. They lived in Oakland where Kris continued to work for the city, eventually becoming Public Works Director.
Kris loved spending time with his family, some of their favorite activities together were camping and boating or making memories on their family trips. His family was his everything. If he couldn’t be on the water somewhere, he would want to be sitting in the stands watching DJ and Dani do what they love in their many activities. Kris’s second love was basketball, and he continued to play “old man ball” until this spring, his competitiveness was strong!
