(Atlantic) Atlantic Head Football Coach Joe Brummer announced Thursday that the Board of Control formally approved a week 0 football game on August 23.
The Trojans will open the season at home against Council Bluffs, Thomas Jefferson. Atlantic will play a ten-game regular season schedule instead of nine games.
Coach Brummer says practice will begin on August 5. Meanwhile, restrictions still apply during the family week, July 29 through August 4.
The Trojans follow the opener with a home date against Clarke on August 30. Travel to Glenwood on September 6, host Greene County on September 13, travel to Winterset on September 20, and host Knoxville on September 27. The schedule balance has the Trojans playing on the road at Creston on October 4, at Perry on October 11, hosting Harlan on October 18, and finishing the regular season at Nevada on October 25.
