(Griswold, IA) — Griswold’s Baseball team had their moments during their 8-15 season. It is the same record as last year but Head Coach Ryan Lockwood feels like his team was more competitive and in a lot more games. The Tigers lose four seniors and all of them were pitchers — a total of 87 innings are graduating but Lockwood is excited about the arms returning
Griswold has two 8th graders that show a lot of potential as all around players — Jaxon Eilts hit .255 and had a 2.42 ERA in 4 appearances plus Grayson Smith batted .304 and had a 2.00 ERA in a few pitching appearances. Lockwood sees a high ceiling for both kids
The Tigers have a solid junior class that will be seniors next year — Callen Keiser, Cavyn Turner and Walker Gary plus Sophomores Colton Frieze, Brayden Beck and Cedrick Victor. Keiser and Turner came on at the end of the season
Griswold’s seniors are Brayden Lockwood, Nollan Smith, Kolbe Klindt and Calden Turner.
