(Iowa City, IA) – Iowa football has just landed a former five-star recruit that committed to Iowa in 2023, as he is now headed to Iowa City for the 2024 season. Former Alabama offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor will be returning to his home state to compete for the Hawkeyes.
Proctor, the former Southeast Polk offensive lineman, started in 14 games this season for the Crimson Tide as a true freshman. Once former Head Coach Nick Saban announced his retirement, the offensive lineman had different ideas in terms of entering the transfer portal. He was named as one of the top offensive tackles to enter the transfer portal and a top three tackle in the 2023 recruiting class.
The incoming sophomore will be joining a struggling Iowa offense that if looking for some strength and experience at the offensive line. Proctor is looking to bring his former experience at Alabama to the Hawkeyes as Iowa still has not announced an offensive coordinator as of Saturday.
