(Creston) Two people were hurt in a single-vehicle crash in Union County.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at 7:55 p.m. on Friday at 2316 Clover Avenue. Authorities identified the injured persons as 18-year-old Arya Autumn Sky Nunn and 20-year-old Garrett Neal Thomson, both from Creston.
According to the report, a southbound 2000 Honda Odyssey Van driven by Nunn swerved to miss a deer on the roadway. The van lost control, entered the westbound ditch, struck it at an angle, traveled approximately 30 yards, and overturned.
Authorities stated in the press release Thomson was ejected from the van and suffered incapacitating injuries. Nunn received minor injuries. EMS transported both occupants to the Greater Regional Hospital in Creston.
